The NX720 edge-lit LED TV is a step-down model, but maintains many of the high-end features of the top-end models, aside from the minus the monolithic design. Though truth be told, with a profile of just an inch, this TV will look just as stunning to most buyers. The NX720 is 3D capable (active shutter) but the HD performance is where these sets really shine. Like the top models above it, Sony’s new Reality PRO and X-Reality Engine digital video processors offer eye-popping definition and super rich colors. Getting online is easy with Sony’s Bravia Internet Video and Qriocity functionality which includes popular apps like Hulu, YouTube and Pandora among many others where you can stream free movies, shows and music. This TV is also enabled for Skype so video chatting is easier than ever, making this a great TV for families living far from friends and relatives. If you don’t need everything the top-of-the-line LEDs offer but still want 3D, Internet connectivity and a picture quality that will satisfy if not exceed expectations, you can take your pick from 60-, 55- and 46-inch displays.
