With the pervasiveness of gaming, and game developers in a virtual arm’s race with mass-market producers of computers, we’ve seen the introduction of PC platforms which are specifically designed with gaming in mind.
This makes very specific demands on the type of computer you’re running, and there’s an extra emphasis on added cooling systems, computing speed, and versatility since many avid gamers tend to have their own preferences when it comes to hardware (including but not limited to graphics cards), so compatibility is key.
But keeping up with AAA titles is often secondary to other concerns when it comes to pre-built computers, as you don’t always know what you’re getting, even if you end up memorizing the specifications on Amazon. Nevertheless, we took a look at the SkyTech Archangel 1050 Ti ourselves to see how it compares to other top-of-the-line gaming platforms, in terms of speed, memory, layout, and reliability, as well as overall functionality.
Below you’ll find a comprehensive review of the Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti, as well as some of our other recommendations!

At first glance, the SkyTech Archangel GTX looks like it might belong under the hood of a luxury car than on a computer desk. The futuristic and stylish case houses an extremely powerful and specially tailored configuration of hardware, designed to offer a gaming experience which will appeal to both casual and veteran gamers, regardless of what they’re playing. It’s probably a bit bigger than is actually needed, but we’re counting this as a bonus in the long run, not only in terms of helping with air flow, but also just in general, having some wiggle room to upgrade if you plan to beef it up later on.
With a 3.5 GHz AMD processor and a Nvidia Geforce 1050 Ti graphics card, you can run most games at higher resolutions without any noticeable lagging or interference, although unfortunately we were a bit disappointed to see they hadn’t upgraded from DDR3 RAM – nevertheless, it’s a small price to pay (literally) for a system that has multi-functionality across a range of uses, including video playback and editing, making it an ideal choice for those who also plan on running programs in parallel. With a 1 TB hard disk, you’re pretty well set, although at this point, that’s pretty standard.
What Are You Really Getting? A Look Inside The Skytech Archangel 1050 TI
Case – Thermaltake Versa N21 Snow Edition
One of the things pre-built PCs use to lure in prospective buyers is always the case. There are no benefits in terms of gaming performance that a case offers, but as a gamer who doesn’t want something that looks cool? For example, the Thermaltake Versa N21 Snow Edition is really something to look at.
When it comes to actual functionality, some of the most important things to look for in a case are space and airflow. The Thermaltake Versa N21 Snow Edition has both of those boxes checked.
With a sleek design, a spacious case with plenty of upgrade room, and a good amount of airflow, this is actually a great addition the Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti! If there’s one thing this pre-built gaming PC has going for it, it would be the Thermaltake Versa N21 Snow Edition.
CPU – AMD FX-6300 Vishera Processor
Power Supply – 430 Watts High-Performance Power Supply
Honestly, the power supply for the Skytech Arhangel 1050 Ti is pretty mediocre. At only 430 watts (which is in our $400 build), you’re really pushing the power consumption and would probably need to replace it with something better if you ever do plan on upgrading this build. This is definitely a con with the Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti.
We also couldn’t uncover what brand actually makes their power supply so it is probably one the ways they’re cutting costs on the build and getting something unbranded to keep things more affordable.
Motherboard – Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 or AsRock 970a-G/3.1 (They Alternate)
Keeping with the theme of mid-ranged systems, SkyTech opted to go for the AM3+ 760G Chipset as their motherboard, and again, it all depends on what you plan on doing with your computer. If you’re looking at primarily gaming and/or video streaming, you’re not likely to encounter any issues, but it is on the lower end of their products – at the same time, it’s a pretty wise choice in terms of compatibility with the CPU.
Storage – 1TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive (Brand isn’t mentioned)
The Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti does come with a good bit of space, which is something that’s always appreciated for gamers who love to hold games on their PC forever (seriously, just clear the game off when you’re done playing it!). In all seriousness, a 1TB hard drive is just about what you want when getting a PC, as you shouldn’t have to worry about space for at least the first year.
Memory – High-Performance 8GB DDR3 1866 MHz (Same as above)
On top of the 1 TB hard-disk, the Archangel also comes outfitted with 8 GB of high-performance DDR3 RAM, and we clocked it at 1866 MHz. Again, you’re not getting the top-of-the-line here (such as DDR4 or higher for example), but for all intents and purposes, the high-capacity 8 GB off-sets this fact. The one issue we did encounter, and others have too, seems to be the fact they incorporate the 8 GB in a single chip, as opposed to two discrete 4 GB sticks, which would allow you to take advantage of dual channels.
Graphics Card – Nvidia Geforce 1050 Ti
Operating System – Windows 10 Pro Edition
Hopefully you’re feeling like you actually know what you’re getting at this point! One of the most insane things we see are gamers who have no clue what’s in their build. Most of the time, they’ll completely buy a new build if something goes wrong, when all they really needed to do was switch out a certain component to get another few years out of their build!.

Recommended Peripherals For The Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti
What’s the point of having an awesome PC, and not having any actual peripherals to back it up? In this section, we list some of the best peripherals for the Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti.
FYI: The Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti does come with a good keyboard, but the mouse is pretty basic. We recommend just getting a monitor and a mouse and a headset.
- 21. 5 inches Full HD (1920 x 1080) widescreen IPS display
- And Radeon free Sync technology. No compatibility for VESA Mount
The Acer SB220Q is an affordable gaming monitor that really suits the Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti well! With a response time of 4 ms,, it makes gaming a quick seamless experience, all while remaining affordable.
With a slick design that makes it look double its price and amazing color contrasts, you’d struggle to find a 1080p gaming monitor in its class.

The Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti comes with a mouse, but by all means, it’s pretty basic. If you’re a PC gamer, there’s nothing worse than playing on a basic mouse, so we recommend something a tad bit better.
The Redragon M990 LEGEND is anything but basic. In fact, this mouse rivals those that are double and even triple its price. If you’re a FPS gamer, then you’ll really appreciate the DPI adjustment that goes all the way up to 16400 DPI!
The Redragon M990 also comes with twenty-two programmable buttons, which is amazing for any MMOs or MOBAs.

XIBERIA is a new brand and a few months ago most people had never heard about them. However, they are up and coming.
A sleek design, clear mic, comfortable earpods, and surround sound gaming, make for a powerful headset that’s also affordable. We recommend the XIBERIA Headset for anyone who's on a budget, but still wants a great gaming headset!
What Kind of Gaming Performance Can You Expect?
Below is a video of someone with a build extremely similar to the Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti build playing PlayerUnknown’s Battleground ( a surprisingly demanding game), this is about what you should expect.
Again, it’s hard to find too many faults with the Archangel, as you can see in the video, you’re operating within the mid-range selection of gaming PCs. For basically any game in the last couple years, there are few to no significant issues, even when the settings are cranked up to maximum, and this includes both RPG style games and FPS, which make a lot of demands on a system. There might be some minor snags during a firefight, but overall it is very smooth.
That said, some upcoming AAA games, especially mainstream ones, will have a bit more trouble running, and you might have to scale back on their settings – or, conversely, consider upgrading part of your system such as the graphics card to something that can handle a bit more punishment. It almost goes without saying, then, that this computer shouldn’t be on your Christmas list if you’re hoping to hook up a Vive or other VR headset/software. For everything else, it gives decent to excellent results, and this includes video playback for streaming, as well as video editing (where that 1 TB hard-disk really comes in handy).
Who Do We Recommend The Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti For?
A lot of reviews and websites, and even SkyTech’s own website, suggest their products for both casual and hardcore gamers alike, but we’d probably amend that and suggest their towers are better suited for casual players who won’t be pushing the specs into the red but still want a device that can run most titles at near-optimum settings. So far, SkyTech has lived up to their name, so we’ve got our fingers crossed and are eager to see what the future has in store for them, and whether or not we can expect even lower prices once they’ve established themselves better.

That Concludes Our Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti Review!
In conclusion, we give the Skytech Archangel 1050 Ti a solid 7.5/10 for a number of reasons. On the upside, and in part because of how ludicrously cheap it is for what you’re getting (pre-built PC standards), you’re not likely to find a pre-built gaming PC that balances quality and inexpensiveness as well as the Archangel. However, in the future we’d like to see them maybe upgrade some of their individual components (such as graphics card, RAM, etc.), although it might warrant a slight price bump, it would result in a more long-term gaming platform, especially if the industry keeps growing the way it has.
