AMD Radeon RX 5700 Features and Benefits

AMD Radeon RX 5700

1440p Display

If you’re aiming to enjoy lag-free gameplay, then the AMD Radeon RX 5700 is your best bet. It delivers solid video outcomes for 1440p resolution displays, so competitive gamers need not worry about venturing into various gaming scenarios that could change pace at any second.

Build

This advanced graphics processing unit is comprised of sturdy and high-quality parts that are engineered to last. In addition to the RX 5700 video card’s tough build, its innovative design is the perfect choice for professional gamers who wants their computer rig to stand out.

Value for Money

AMD RX 5700 has exceptional value for money since it performs as well as its premium NVIDIA counterparts without the splurge. With greater framerates and ample memory, this device can handle all of your activities, whether gaming or professional work.

Performance

Based on multiple synthetic gaming benchmark reviews online, the AMD Radeon RX 5700 surpasses the average speeds of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 on several tests. The RX 5700 is a must-have for any PC setup if you like tear-free and ultra-smooth videos.

Software Interface

Introducing the AMD Radeon Software, a control center application that enables easy tweaks and customizations, which you can directly access even in-game.

The main performance-enhancing features included in the interface are stated below:

  • AMD FidelityFX
  • AMD FreeSync
  • Radeon Anti-Lag
  • Radeon Boost

AMD FidelityFX

This free program is a toolkit that significantly improves graphics quality without taxing the video card memory hardware in the process. The AMD FidelityFX is engineered for both RDNA and RDNA 2 based chipset architecture.

AMD FreeSync

The application makes tear-free and fluid video playbacks possible for various screen and display pixel resolutions. Swift and accurate responses are also implemented correctly because of the AMD FreeSync attribute.

Radeon Anti-Lag

With this feature, display latency and stutters are sufficiently controlled and removed. The Radeon Anti-Lag is a smart solution that works with DirectX versions 9, 11, and 12 gaming and software.

Radeon Boost

The supporting app enables dynamic modifications of resolution displays, especially during camera movement and rotation. It works for first- and third-person game titles allowing for quicker responses and greater frame rates.

4K Display

The Radeon RX 5700 can render 4K pixel resolution video outputs without spending a fortune to purchase one.

Even though the graphics card is engineered for 1440p, it can also process the higher 4K but with lesser frame rates or image quality.

Ray Tracing Support

The Radeon RX 5700 has ray tracing, but it works with a software-based version.

AMD calls the feature ray accelerators. The AMD RX 6000 series is equipped with hardware-accelerated ray tracing parts, and these are the closest components they have as a response to NVIDIA’s RT and Tensor Cores.

Memory

The AMD RX 5700 has the adequate capacity to handle all your competitive gaming activities. With 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, gamers and professionals can enjoy a fantastic virtual world adventure for display resolutions of up to 1440p.

Is AMD Radeon RX 5700 good for gaming?

The AMD Radeon RX 5700 is good for gaming software, especially for 1440p resolution displays. In addition, it is chosen as one of the best video cards on the market right now.

This graphics card is functional straight-out-of-the-box, great for gamers and professionals who want a viable upgrade that’s also a ready-to-use device.

Is AMD better than NVIDIA for gaming?

From the garnered reports and reviews online, AMD is not better than any of its NVIDIA counterparts.

Although AMD has already proved its worth as one of the best graphics cards today, NVIDIA and its incredible build and software applications are the better choices in general.

NVIDIA comes at a hefty price tag. On the other hand, AMD can’t still win over or be at par with RTX’s extraordinary features, namely: DLSS, G-Sync, Reflex, and the likes.

AMD Radeon RX 5700 Social Proof

temps never go above

55 °C

D.L.

I play Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem all on max settings, and the card temps never go above 55 °C frame rate always above 75 fps. I love Power Color cards my wife runs Vega 56, and my last 2 cards RX 3080x Power Color, and they still run well to this day.

Works well at ultra-high Setting

Peter J.

Works well, getting 120fps on every game I play at ultra-high (capped it at 120) and haven't gone higher than 56C. However, when I ran benchmarks I only got ~1400mHz clock speed, which is lower than the advertised base clock speed.

I don't know if this is because of me or the GPU, I have only had the computer built for a day so I am still working out kinks (this was my first build). I have all the drivers downloaded. Overall, it’s doing what I need it to do, stays cool, relatively quiet, good card.

Definitely would recommend this card

Jesse E.

Upgraded from an RX 580. Card runs great and cool. No problems so far. Getting well over 100 fps on ultra settings on games. I was going to upgrade later this year, but it came with 2 free games, so I couldn't resist. Definitely would recommend this card.

Conclusion

AMD has recently released its high-end gamer’s Navi, the Radeon RX 5700. Since its components are entirely made of heavy-duty materials, this RX 5700 is built to last. With clock boosts of up to 1725 MHz, you’ll never worry about playing even the most graphics-intensive games and software today.

This powerhouse video card is equipped with 40 compute units and 8 GB GDDR6 memory. Its performance is unparalleled among its predecessors and is at par with NVIDIA devices. Also, the RX 5700 is priced competitively, making it more attainable for budget-wise users.
